Methacrylate adhesive
for acrylic solid surface

LISTACRYL Super Adhesive Acrylic Stone is a two-component methacrylate adhesive in a 75 ml cartridge for a 10:1 dispenser. We make the resin ourselves: methyl methacrylate is polymerised into syrup in our own reactor and the adhesive base is built from it. Colour is matched with a spectrophotometer — to LISTACRYL sheet and to décors of other brands.

In-house synthesis

Resin cooked
on our own site

The adhesive runs on the same chemistry as our sheet. We synthesise the acrylic resin ourselves and answer for its molecular weight and purity, not only for filling the cartridge.

01

Reactor synthesis

Methyl methacrylate is polymerised into syrup in our own reactor: direct control of molecular weight and polydispersity.

02

Molecular fusion

The adhesive dissolves the contact layer of the solid surface, so the joint forms inside the material rather than on top of it.

03

UV stabilisation

A package of antioxidants and UV absorbers keeps the joint colour on white and light-transmitting slabs.

04

Shipped from the plant

The adhesive leaves the site in Kirishi: short lead time and a fresh manufacturing date for each batch.

Joint colour

Matched with a spectrophotometer

A joint is visible exactly as far as the adhesive differs in colour from the sheet. Our lab measures a sample of the stone with a spectrophotometer and tints the adhesive to that specific décor — ours or another brand's.

The adhesive is compatible with common acrylic solid surface brands — Grandex, Staron, Corian, Hi-Macs, Hanex, Neomarm and others. These names indicate compatibility only; LISTACRYL is not affiliated with those manufacturers and claims no endorsement by them. Make a test joint before running an unfamiliar décor in production.

Technical
parameters

Timings come from the manufacturer's in-house testing at 20–22 °C (68–72 °F); every interval shortens as shop temperature rises. An independent laboratory report and the safety data sheet are being prepared — until they are issued we publish no strength figures.

The product contains methyl methacrylate. Work in a ventilated area, wear gloves and safety glasses, keep away from open flame. The safety data sheet will be issued by the sales team once the document is released.

Applications

Where this
joint works

The adhesive is intended both for shop fabrication and for site work: it behaves the same on a straight seam, on a radius and on a local repair.

01

Interior parts

Worktops, splashbacks, bar counters, window sills and wall panels with a monolithic joint.

02

Integrated bowls

Bonding solid surface sinks and basins with no gaps for moisture and soil to collect in.

03

Edges and radii

Build-up edges, chamfers, coved returns and upstands.

04

Surface repair

Filling chips and mechanical damage, followed by sanding and polishing.

Instructions

Five steps
from edge to joint

A sequence for fabricators already familiar with two-component systems. The full description is in the technical data sheet, sent together with the quotation.

01

Prepare the edges

Remove routing dust and degrease the mating edges with isopropyl alcohol. Do not use household solvents containing oils — they leave a film and weaken the joint.

02

Set up the cartridge

Load the cartridge into a 10:1 manual dispenser, release the catch and extrude a few drops without the mixer: base and activator must come out simultaneously.

03

Mix and apply

Screw on the static mixer, discard the first 20–30 mm of material and lay a continuous bead along the edge. You have 14–15 minutes to apply the adhesive and align the parts.

04

Clamp

Bring the parts together and clamp until an even bead squeezes out along the whole joint. Do not move the parts while the adhesive cures.

05

Machine the joint

The adhesive sets in 16–17 minutes and turns hard by 18–19 minutes. From about minute 21 the surface is hard and rings under a tap — remove the excess with a router or chisel, sand the joint flush and polish it to match the part.

Filling

Filling and
packing area

The adhesive is cooked, filled into cartridges and packed on our own site. The video shows the labelling machine at the packing area: 12 seconds, no sound, plays on tap.

Two static mixers are supplied with each cartridge. The 10:1 dispenser is a fabricator's own tool and we do not supply it. Volumes other than 75 ml and batches in a specific colour are discussed case by case.

What comes next

Versions
in preparation

One formulation is in serial production: the universal adhesive in a 75 ml cartridge. Three specialised versions are being prepared — flexible, clear and colour-matched to stone. No release dates are announced yet.
